KDP Select programme - Amazon Kindle reads - new promotion

Kindle Reads
At last in this indie publishing world, Amazon Kindle are now offering writers the opportunity to make their books available for promotional purposes without charge for five single, and any format of consecutive days, within a three month period. This is very exciting news for writers who do it with the hope that they may get more reviews. These are crucial in order to sell their books in a vast ocean where they might otherwise be drowned. By giving their hard earned work away gratuitously, they hope that people will recommend their work and even buy other books by them thereby gaining some 'oar' momentum by the whip to the slaves’ backs who are rowing across these congested waters, and not having to be relegated to being a barnacle desperately clinging on.
While ‘Select Members’ (those with an actual Kindle) may also borrow a book a month, complimentary (which they won’t own, but will check back in, before they can have another) the great thing about the promotion is that anyone with pretty much any device can download and own these books. All you need to get is the free app for your pc, iMac, iPad or whatever handheld, and it’ll give you the features of a Kindle reader; trust me, I use it on my iPad, I can change the size of the text, the colour, look up words and it even syncs between my devices; recognizes which page I left off from. Simple. I don't even have to hold it in bed, standing it up, a lazy finger swiping the pages here and there.
The trick is, though, knowing when the promotions are going on, and yes, you can find some of these in the Amazon forums probably on a daily basis, which I find a bit random to be honest, as a writer myself trying to promote there, again getting lost at sea, but nonetheless you will be able to find something I'm sure.
The author themselves set the gratuitous dates, and I personally have set my own for CHRISTMAS DAY AND BOXING DAY, and so if you would like to download any or all of the books that I personally have written, you may click the link contained in my profile that leads to my Amazon bibliography; alternatively, the books available will also be shown below in the Amazon capsule.
Again, authors are doing this to build a readership, they only ask for a decent review in return for making these available – not too much to ask. They really, really appreciate your support. I know I do.
I feel that the two novels mentioned below, Prickly Scots and Warped Mirrors, especially, will largely appeal to a British audience, or those who love a British style of writing and humour, although they have had excellent reviews from people all over the world.
These books are gratis on the days mentioned above only, so get them while they’re hot - I promise you they are very well written and will make you laugh out loud.
